For the ID. Buzz, VW specifies between 332 and 487 km WLTP range depending on the variant. But how far do you actually get – on the motorway, in winter, in everyday use?
What does WLTP mean – and why do you drive less?
The WLTP cycle is a standardized laboratory test under controlled conditions: 23 °C, no wind, no incline. In practice the values deviate: air conditioning, heating, motorway speed and cold cost energy. Depending on the driving profile, the real range is 20–35% below the WLTP value.
