Electric Conversion for your Classic Car
We equip your vehicle with an electric drive from a mass-production vehicle, or you start your conversion to electric yourself. In our shop you will find matching kits and accessories. We are always happy to help with any questions.

Stationary energy storage systems
Neben mobilen Anwendungen bieten wir auch Lösungen für stationäre Energiespeicher an. So können zum Beispiel Tesla- oder Nissan Leaf- Batteriemodule als Heimspeicher dienen, um kostengünstige Secondlife-Speicherlösungen möglich zu machen. Dabei verringert sich der CO2-Fussabdruck deutlich, weil die Herstellungsemissionen neuer Zellen entfallen bei sehr guten technischen Daten (hohe C-Rate).

ESDI EV Technologies ist Ihr Partner für den professionellen Elektroumbau von Oldtimern und Klassikern. Wir entwickeln und liefern fahrzeugspezifische Elektro-Umrüstkits, die höchste OEM-Qualität mit vollständiger Reversibilität verbinden. Jedes Kit ist auf die Einzelabnahme nach § 21 StVZO ausgelegt und ist für die deutsche Straßenzulassung konzipiert.
Our vehicle kits
We offer plug-and-play electric conversion kits for the following classics:
- Porsche 911 (F- & G-Modell) – 150 to 600 hp, up to 350 km range, from 44,990 €
- Porsche 964 – 150 bis 550 PS, bis 350 km Reichweite, ab 59.990 €
- VW Beetle – 150 PS, bis 250 km Reichweite, ab 29.990 €
- VW T1 Bulli – 150 PS, bis 300 km Reichweite, ab 29.990 €
- VW T2 Bus – 150 hp, up to 280 km range, from 29,990 €
- VW T3 – 200-300 hp, up to 320 km range, from 29,990 €
Warum ESDI EV?
TÜV-certified: All kits come with full TÜV documentation. Road approval is part of our concept.
reversibel: No body cuts, no permanent modifications. The original engine can be reinstalled at any time.
Plug-and-Play: All cable harnesses, adapters and mounts come pre-assembled. This reduces installation time to 3–5 working days.
Tesla-Technologie: We use Tesla LDU motors for maximum efficiency and reliability. Proven technology that runs on roads by the millions.
Made in Germany: Engineering, assembly and quality control in our workshop in Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia.
CCS-Schnellladen: Each kit comes with a Type 2 CCS charging port for AC and DC charging at any public charging station.
The Process: From First Consultation to Electric Classic
1. Beratung & Konfiguration – We discuss your vehicle, your wishes and recommend the right kit configuration (power, battery, equipment).
2. Kit-Fertigung – After ordering, your kit is individually assembled and completely pre-assembled.
3. Installation – At our facility in Herford, at one of our certified B2B partners, or in your own workshop with our technical instructions.
4. TÜV-Abnahme – With our complete documentation, the technical inspection is straightforward.
5. Zulassung & Fahren – E-Kennzeichen beantragen, KFZ-Steuerbefreiung genießen und lokal emissionsfrei durch die Stadt cruisen.
Costs & Subsidies
Die Kits starten ab 29.990 € (VW Käfer). Schlüsselfertig kostet der Umbau den Kit-Preis plus 5.000 € Einbaupauschale — also ab 34.990 €. Das Basisfahrzeug kommt getrennt dazu je nach Fahrzeug und Konfiguration. Mehr Details auf unserer Cost overview.
