Compatible 911 Models in Detail

Our kit fits all Porsche 911 F models (1963–1973) und G models (1974–1989). This includes: 911 T, 911 E, 911 S, 911 SC, 911 Carrera 3.0 and 3.2, 911 Turbo (930) as well as the Targa variants of all model years. Transmission variants: 4-speed, 5-speed manual gearbox and Sportomatic – all are replaced by the direct drive.

Installation Step by Step

Tag 1-2: Removal of the original boxer engine and gearbox. Careful documentation for later reversal. Mounting of the ESDI EV motor adapter to the original mounting points.

Tag 2-3: Installation of the Tesla SDU/LDU motor, mounting of the battery modules (in the front trunk and under the rear bench), installation of the cooling system.

Tag 3-4: Komplette Verkabelung: HV-Kabelbaum, NV-Integration (Licht, Blinker, Instrumente), DC/DC-Wandler, CCS-Ladebuchse.

Tag 4-5: Erstinbetriebnahme, Software-Konfiguration, Testfahrt, TÜV-Vorbereitung.

Which 911 models are compatible?

Our electric conversion kit is designed for all Porsche 911 F-models (1963–1973) and G-models (1974–1989). This includes the 911 S, 911 T, 911 E, 911 SC, 911 Carrera and 911 Turbo. The kit’s core structure is identical — only the adapter pieces vary depending on build year and gearbox variant.

How long does the installation take?

The installation of a fully pre-assembled ESDI EV kit takes an experienced mechanic approx. 3–5 working days. When installed in our workshop in Herford or at one of our certified B2B partners, the vehicle is usually ready to drive within a week. The TÜV inspection can take place immediately afterwards.

Is the conversion reversible?

Yes, completely. Our kit requires no body cuts or irreversible changes to the vehicle. The original engine can be reinstalled at any time. This protects the value of your classic and allows you to return to the original at any time.

What range does the 911 have after the conversion?

Depending on the chosen battery package, you achieve 250 km (PURE, 40 kWh) to 300 km (ULTIMATE, 45 kWh) of range according to WLTP. The standard package (40 kWh) offers approx. 250 km, the performance package (45 kWh) reaches up to 350 km. For daily use and weekend trips this is more than sufficient.

What does the Porsche 911 electric conversion cost?

The ESDI EV 911 kit starts at €44,990 (excluding installation). Price varies depending on power class and battery package. A complete conversion including installation typically ranges between €55,000 and €85,000. Compared to other providers, we offer an excellent price-to-performance ratio with TÜV approval and OEM-grade quality.

Behalte ich mein H-Kennzeichen?

Under current law (as of 2026), a vehicle generally loses its H registration in an electric conversion, since the original drive is removed. However, you benefit from the vehicle tax exemption for electric vehicles and can apply for an E registration. Since our conversion is reversible, you can return to the original engine at any time and reapply for the H registration.

What power output is possible?

We offer three power levels: Standard (180 hp (132 kW)), Performance (300 hp / 450 Nm) and Track (up to 550 hp / 600 Nm). All variants use Tesla SDU/LDU motors with direct drive. The acceleration is impressive – even the standard variant brings the 911 to 100 km/h in under 6 seconds.

How is it charged?

Every kit is delivered with a Type 2 CCS charging port. AC charging takes place at up to 10 kW (wallbox or public charging station), DC fast charging at up to 70 kW (PERFORMANCE) or 90 kW (ULTIMATE) at CCS stations. A full charge at the home wallbox takes approx. 3–5 hours; at the fast charger you go from 20% to 80% in 30–45 minutes.
