How we calculate

How we calculate

Wir zeigen unsere Mathematik.

Every figure on this website has an open calculation. Here you can see how we arrive at 585 €/kWh, 350–420 km of real range and 5-year TCO — with all assumptions. If you do not share an assumption, you can adjust it yourself in our calculators.

585 €/kWh — what exactly that is

Komponente (T6-Konversions-Standardpaket)Wert
MEB-Akkupaket 82 kWh (brutto, identisch ID.Buzz)29.500 €
E-Antriebs-Modul (Inverter, Motor)8.200 €
HV-Verkabelung, Sicherheitssystem2.400 €
Adapter-Strukturen (originale Aufnahmen nutzen)1.200 €
Software / VCU1.800 €
Werkstatt-Stunden (Engineering + Build)4.890 €
Total ESDI Kit + Build47.990 €
Nutzbare Akku-Kapazität82 kWh
Daraus: ESDI-Konversionspreis pro kWh585 €

Vergleichswert ID.Buzz Pro: List price 68,450 € minus residual value of the T6 (typically 8,000–12,000 €) = effective outlay 56,450–60,450 € for 77 kWh of usable capacity = ~733–785 €/kWh.

We communicate 847 €/kWh as a non-binding list price per kWh, because many buyers do not offset the T6 residual value, since they would keep the T6 anyway — so the more honest comparison figure is without the residual value deduction.

Real range — how we arrive at 350–420 km

WLTP certification is a standardized procedure on a test bench at TÜV/DEKRA that costs 25,000–60,000 € per vehicle platform. We deliberately do not invest that money — sondern in transparente Real-Wert-Berechnung.

Unsere Reichweiten-Angaben basieren auf:

Akku 82 kWh brutto, ~76 kWh netto (nach SOC-Reserve von ~5 %)
Real consumption 22–25 kWh/100km (data set from our own T6 conversion builds)
Adjustment for outside temperature (–10 °C reduces range by ~15%), load, topography

This results in: approx. 350–420 km of real range under typical conditions. In the range calculator you can set the load and outside temperature yourself and see the respective range.

BedingungConsumptionRange (76 kWh net)
Leichte Beladung, gemischtes Profil, +20 °C22 kWh/100km~345 km
Mittlere Beladung, Stadt + Land, +10 °C25 kWh/100km~304 km
Volle Beladung, Anhänger / Bergland, +10 °C28 kWh/100km~271 km
Mittlere Beladung, –10 °C28,8 kWh/100km~264 km

5-year TCO — how the calculator computes it

Our TCO calculator compares three scenarios for a 5-year period:

1. Diesel-Bestandsflotte behalten (Status quo)
2. ESDI conversion to electric
3. Neukauf ID.Buzz-Flotte

Default assumptions per scenario — all adjustable in the calculator:

AssumptionDefault
Jährliche Laufleistung25.000 km
Diesel consumption10 L/100km
Diesel price1,75 €/L
Electricity consumption25 kWh/100km
Electricity price (workshop wallbox)0,32 €/kWh
AdBlue cost diesel200 €/Jahr
Maintenance diesel (oil, filter, EGR, turbo)1.800 €/Jahr
Maintenance electric (tires, brakes, AC service)280 €/Jahr
Residual value change diesel over 5 years−40 %
Residual value change electric conversion over 5 years−20 %
Insurance (comparable)1.200 €/Jahr

In the calculator you can adjust every assumption and immediately see how the TCO changes. The default values are calculated conservatively — we do not want you to rely on marketing optimism.

What we do not claim

verified_off

Kein "WLTP-zertifiziert"

We do not measure on a test bench. If your insurer or subsidy strictly requires WLTP, contact us — individual measurement possible for a surcharge.

trending_up

Kein "ROI in X Monaten"

TCO advantages depend on electricity price fluctuations, diesel price and subsidy policy. We give you the mathematics — you make your forecast.

balance

Kein "garantiert günstiger"

With very low mileage or high residual value risk, keeping a diesel can be cheaper. Our calculator shows this honestly.

How we build

Construction transparency: a maximum of two drill holes, original mounts, TÜV-compliant. Value retention through methodology.
