In this demanding conversion project, the focus was not only on improving the drive performance of a sports car, but also on the seamless integration of various control units. To achieve this, the original boxer engine was removed to make room for a reworked drive unit from the Tesla Model S and a battery pack with modern modules. In this electric conversion, we placed great emphasis on not modifying the vehicle by cutting off, drilling through or welding parts to the body.

DRIVE

The Porsche 914 receives a powerful boost from a compact Tesla rear drive unit with an impressive maximum output of 220 kW (299 hp). Thanks to this powerful combination, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds is possible, which ensures an exciting driving experience.

The integration of the Tesla drive unit into the Porsche 914 enables not only high performance, but also optimal weight distribution and traction. This makes cornering and dynamic acceleration a true pleasure. With the electric drive of the Porsche 914, you experience driving fun on a new level while at the same time enjoying the advantages of electric mobility.

BATTERY

With our electric conversion, you can equip the Porsche 914 with a battery capacity of up to 45 kWh. To ensure optimal weight distribution and maximum use of space, we have divided the battery pack into two separate units. The larger pack 1 is located in the "engine compartment" in front of the rear axle, while the smaller battery pack 2 is placed in the front trunk. This intelligent arrangement keeps the vehicle in balance and the storage space in the trunk remains usable.

To enable CCS fast charging and maximize charging efficiency, we have implemented battery temperature control. This maintains optimal operating temperatures for the battery, which leads to efficient and fast charging.

With our electric conversion and the implemented solutions, you can enjoy not only a generous battery capacity, but also benefit from intelligent use of space and a fast charging option. The electrified Porsche 914 thus becomes a reliable and practical electric vehicle for your everyday needs.

INSTRUMENTS

As part of the electric conversion, we adapted the Porsche 914 speedometer to extend it with a new dial layout. The rev counter has now been repurposed as a power display. This allows you to read directly how much power the electric motor generates or how strong the recuperation is during braking.

To round off the modern appearance, a likewise specially developed digital round display was built into the three-part instrument unit. This combination of traditional design and modern digital technology offers you a clear yet contemporary driving experience.

With the adaptation of the speedometer in the course of the electric conversion, not only is the functionality improved, but also a touch of individuality and innovation is added. Every glance at the new dial and the digital round display reminds you that you are driving a unique electric vehicle that was designed with great care and attention to detail.
